Walkathan Rally at Warangal by Child Line , 20-11-2012

Walkathan Rally was conducted by Child Welfare committee and Child Line 1098 as part its Weekly Celebrations on child protection , from Police Head Quarters to the District Collectorate, on 20th November 2012, from 7 A.M.  I/C District Collector Pradyumna  was the Chief Guest to inaugurate the Walk. District Superintendent of Police, Rajeev Kumar  was the Guest of Honour  , who joined the gathering in the Walk, and spoke on the importance of rights and freedom of children to lead a healthy and rightful life in their childhood. C. W. C Chair person Dr. Mamatha Raghuveer, highlighted, that the children can contact through  the toll free number 1098 , when they are in distress. Child Line Coordinator Sudershan explained  about the child line in detail, to the gathering. Juvenile Justice Board Member Renuka, CWC.Members Chakradhari, Thirupathi and Revathi Devi, Tharuni, Pragathi Seva Samithi, MARI, FMM,all Non Governmental Organisation Members, Police, I.C.D.S. officials, Anganwadi Workers, NSS volunteers ,along with their Coordinator Dr. Suresh B. Lal from Kakatiya University, Students from schools and colleges , more than five hundred people, participated in the  Rally.

Tharuni and CWC jointly felicitated the persons who helped and saved , rendering outstanding services to the children,  with ' Bala Rakshak' Mementoes, and shawls. District Collector and Superintendent of Police were also specially honoured for their concern and great service  for the child Protection.  All the participants took part in the signature compaign and oath taken for child protection.

Child Helpline Se Dosti Programme from 8th November 2011

Child Line Se Dosti Programme was started on 8th November with Suraksha Bandham, when children tied rakhies to Police personnel and other officials including The District Collector of Warangal. The children tied rakhies to the Sub Inspectors  at  Eturu Nagaram, Mangapet, and Thadvai also. The Police assured that they will protect the children in distress.
On 9th November Dosti corners were set up in public places like  Bus stands, Public Parks and Chowrasthas to bring awareness of Child Help Line 1098 to general public.Competitions were conducted in Colleges to students in Essay Writing on Child Rights and Child Labour and other problems.
Child Line Protection oath was taken by students and teachers in all the Government High Schools in the three Mandals of Eturu Nagaram, Mangapet and Thadvai. on 10th November.
Health camps were  conducted  in Gurukul Hostels for students in three schools by Government Doctors and Rural Medical practitioners in the three Mandals on 11-11-11.

Child Help Line Meeting at Thadvai on 29th August 2011

The Child Help Line Meeting was held at Thadvai in Warangal District, attended by the Tribal Girls of six schools to enlighten themselves about Children protection who are in distress, with the help of Toll Free Number of 1098.Tharuni Director Dr. Mamatha, Sub Inspector of Police Venkata Rathnam and Mandal Project Development Officer spoke about the importance of Child Help Line.
